Poll: which street art would you like to add to the Schiphol collection?
Great news! After Oak Oak, Sandrine and Orticanoodles we've found a fourth street artist who can't wait to add some color to this vibrant location!
Andrea Michaelsson is a multi-faceted artist better known by her street artist name: BTOY. She was born in 1977 in Barcelona, Spain. After studying law for four years, she realized it was not the career she wanted, and began to study photography. Her artistic education primarily was achieved during a three year period at the Institute of the Photographic Studies of Barcelona. As a street artist, she is best known for creating extremely fine, detailed stencils (fun fact: Btoy painted with Banksy in 2008!). Her street art stencils often portray the importance of women, and sometimes incorporate famous portraits. Most of these women are female icons from the 1950's, often depicted through powerful brush strokes combined with very acute stencil lines.
Below you'll find an overview of 20 people representing the theme "diversity". They are jazzy, soulful, innovative, glamorous and pioneers thus mirroring the human factor in an otherwise corporate environment.
Mid-July, Btoy will add 10 pieces to the Schiphol collection. The best news? YOU can decide which pieces this will be! Which person would you like to see represented in the Schiphol street art collection?
*This poll will close on Friday 8 June.
** The artist will get all creative freedom, meaning Btoy might decide to work with different images.
